Çanakkale is located in north-western part of Turkey ; on both sides of the strait which connects Marmara and Aegean Seas to eachother.

Our city has borders to Edirne, Tekirdağ and is 9737 square kilometers. Its has a populatin over 465.125. Gökçeada biggest island of Turkey, Bozcada and " Rabbit Island" are located with in the borders of the city.

Located on both sides of the Çanakkale Strait, has been an accommodation center since the two sides were called HELLESPONTES and DARDANEL.
